“Heartstopping” The Stage
Sophie is a composer and sound designer for Theatre, TV and Film. Since graduating from the Royal College of Music she has composed for many exciting productions including Romeo and Juliet at the RSC / Barbican and as a Music Associate at The National Theatre.
Some recent highlights include: The Score at Bath Theatre Royal (Starring Brian Cox), Sleepwalker with the Royal Ballet / Sadler’s Wells, a five star production of A View from the Bridge at York Theatre Royal and Where We Are - a dance film collaborating with principals from the Royal Ballet.
Sophie also recently assisted composer Arthur Sharpe on his Bafta-winning score for HBO’s Landscapers and previously worked with Claire Van Kampen on her Oliver-nominated production of Farinelli and the King at both the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse and the Duke of York's Theatre.
Sophie is also an actress and appeared in the Oscar-winning short film Stutterer.
She is represented by Madeleine Pudney at United Agents.
